What is the technical inspection of a recreational boat?

  • Recognitions and inspections vary according to the type and characteristics of the boat.
  • The inspector will check the good condition of the hull, propulsive installation, electrical installation, deck and tanks – in addition to the power if the door – and that the boat has on board the mandatory safety equipment, as well as the corresponding documentation.
  • The boat must have the Certificate of Navigation, or if there is no other documentation that proves the registration in Marina Mercante.
  • The owner will choose the place to carry out the inspection (marine club, port, dry dock, etc.), and the boat must be prepared and in the appropriate conditions.
  • The owner of a boat will have to contact us in advance to allow a schedule of visits to the inspectors.
